Multi Core For Mac Pro

Up to 2x faster.

Eight-core performance was once top-of-the-line. Now is the default. This time the power is phenomenal than ever - up to two times faster than the old standard configuration of Mac Pro.1 And with multi-core technology enhancements of Mac OS X Leopard, the new Mac Pro is a force that we should expect.

More power with less energy.

Within the new Mac Pro is the latest Intel Quad-Core Intel Xeon “Harpertown” processors. This blazingly fast processors with speeds up to 3.2 GHz. Based on the new 45 nm micro-architecture of Intel Core, it amazing performance, but still excellent efficiency.

Cache count.

A huge amount of L2 cache - 12MB per processor - is frequently used data and instructions close to the heart and the benefits were improved. 6 MB cache, two processor cores, so that nuclear energy, all available methods common cache at any time.

Built to Full Tilt.

Xeon architecture with the fastest available, the new Mac Pro with dual independent 1600MHz FSB. This 64-bit bus for each processor a direct connection to the system controller and CPU to improve bandwidth up to 25.6GB per second - 20 percent higher than the previous Mac Pro. With a new system architecture, faster system bus, and a fast 800MHz DDR2 fully buffered DIMM memory, Mac Pro memory throughput to 1.6 times faster than before.

Each Intel Xeon processor is an improvement SSE4 SIMD engine. Suitable for the conclusion of the 128-bit vector computing, in a cycle, SSE4 is ideal for converting large amounts of data, such as the application of a filter on an image or a video recording of the impact.
Smarter memory.

The Mac Pro includes a 256-bit wide buffer architecture with Error Correction Code (ECC), which corrects single-bit errors and detects multiple bit errors automatically. These functions are particularly important in mission-critical or intensive computing environments. Apple is developing a more stringent thermal specification for the Mac Pro FB-DIMM, so the fans back slowly with the speed and keep the system quiet.
