Of Opinions and Facts
You know, it’s always a good thing to enrich your info bank. No, I’m not talking about money, I’m talking about broadening and increasing your general knowledge. Some people have selective attention, they see what they want to see, they seeks what they want to know. However, we often pick what we want to read, and if we are honest, news that are of no proper use for us (like celeb gossip) are the things we like the most.
So how about changing your perspective and start reading facts instead of rumors? Wouldn’t it be more worthwhile to spend your time reading things that are actually true and beneficial? Just recently I was looking into getting myself a second-hand vehicle because the one I am driving is quite costly to maintain (with the petrol hike and everything else inflating). It’s common sense to check before you buy, so i did a little survey on the cars (old and not-so-old) that may seem to be a good deal for my preference and budget.
I stumbled upon 10facts.com, a website that give you facts on health, technology and autos. So out of the list of cars I wanted to research on, I found that the ones that probably suit me best are: Volvo S80, Opel Astra GTC, Opel Astra and Toyota MR2. Yeah, I know the differences are huge, but each has its own uniqueness.
Anyway, back to the fact of knowing facts. It came across to me how important it is to get the facts from credible sources because when I ask 10 different people for their opinions on a certain thing, I get very confused with 10 different feedbacks, hence I prefer to use 10facts.com because of the short and simple sentences and load of information. Then again, that’s my opinion, not a fact, but still, there’s no harm in trying out, right?
